Opening a Business Account
To open a business account with Apple, you must provide some key information. The specific documents you need to provide will depend on your business type. Below are the general requirements for common business types.
Required Documents
The following documents are required per entity type:
- EIN Document from IRS or Last Year’s Tax Return
- Active SCC Status
- Articles of Organization
- Certificate of Authority to Transact Business in VA (if domesticated out of state & doing business in VA)
- Signed Operating Agreement (optional)
- Identification Document
- Doing Business As (DBA) Document (optional, if applicable)
- EIN Document from IRS or Last Year’s Tax Return
- Partnership Agreement
- Active SCC Status (for LP)
- Certificate of Limited Partnership (for LP)
- Statement of Partnership Authority (for LLP)
- Identification Document
- Doing Business As (DBA) Document (optional, if applicable)
- EIN Document from IRS or Last Year’s Tax Return
- Active SCC Status
- Articles of Incorporation
- Certificate of Authority to Transact Business in VA (if domesticated out of state & doing business in VA)
- Signed Bylaws (optional)
- Identification Document

- SSN or EIN Document from IRS or Last Year’s Tax Return
