Opening a Business Account

Opening a business account with Apple FCU is a straightforward process, and our dedicated Commercial Services team is ready to help you each step of the way.

To get started, click Open an Account above, fill out the form and expect to hear from one of our team members within two to three business days with next steps.

In the meantime, you can prepare by gathering the required documents needed to open your account. These documents vary based on entity type and are listed below.

Required Documents

The following documents are required per entity type:

  • Official IRS EIN Letter OR Last year’s filed Tax Return
    • Portal screenshots/applications for EIN will be insufficient.
  • Active SCC Status
  • Articles of Organization
  • Active State Corporation Commission (SCC) status
    • Apple FCU will pull your status from the SCC website, so you do not need to provide anything. If the business status is Inactive/Not in Good Standing, this must be resolved prior to account opening.
  • Copy of State Driver’s License
  • Fictitious Name Certificate
    • If applicable, please provide Fictitious Name Certificate from the State Corporation Commission (SCC) for any Doing Business As (DBA) names to have on file.
  • Signed Operating Agreement (optional)
  • Additional Signer Information
    • If any additional signers need to be added to the account, please provide their Social Security Number, a copy of a state-issued ID, an email address and a phone number.
  • Additional Beneficial Owner Information
    • If there are any 25% or more owners of the entity not being added as a signer, please provide their full name, Social Security Number, address, date of birth and position within the business.

  • Official IRS EIN Letter OR Last year’s filed Tax Return
    • Portal screenshots/applications for EIN will be insufficient.
    • If you are using your Social Security Number for reporting, these documents are not required.
  • Copy of State Driver’s License
  • Fictitious Name Certificate
    • If applicable, please provide Fictitious Name Certificate from the State Corporation Commission (SCC) for any Doing Business As (DBA) names to have on file.
  • Additional Signer Information
    • If any additional signers need to be added to the account, please provide their Social Security Number, a copy of a state-issued ID, an email address and a phone number.

  • Partnership Agreement
  • Certificate of Limited Partnership (for LP)
  • Statement of Partnership Authority (for LLP)

    • Apple FCU will pull your status from the SCC website, so you do not need to provide anything. If the business status is Inactive/Not in Good Standing, this must be resolved prior to account opening.
  • Copy of State Driver’s License

  • Active State Corporation Commission (SCC) status
    • Apple FCU will pull your status from the SCC website, so you do not need to provide anything. If the business status is Inactive/Not in Good Standing, this must be resolved prior to account opening.
  • Meeting minutes from the organization motioning to open a bank account with Apple Federal Credit Union
    • Please appoint the signers to be on the account and provide their full legal names.
  • Signed Bylaws (optional)
  • Copy of State Driver’s License
  • Additional Signer Information
    • If any additional signers need to be added to the account, please provide their Social Security Number, a copy of a state-issued ID, an email address and a phone number.
  • Official IRS EIN Letter OR Last year’s filed Tax Return
    • Portal screenshots/applications for EIN will be insufficient.
  • Charter Letter or Letter from National Office
    • This is applicable if you are borrowing another organization’s/parent entity’s EIN.
  • Meeting minutes from the organization motioning to open a bank account with Apple Federal Credit Union
    • Please appoint the signers to be on the account and provide their full legal names.
  • Copy of State Driver’s License
  • Additional Signer Information
    • If any additional signers need to be added to the account, please provide their Social Security Number, a copy of a state-issued ID, an email address and a phone number.
