Exciting times are ahead at Apple Federal Credit Union! Last month, we successfully completed our merger with NextMark Credit Union, and the benefits are already evident, including increased convenience for our members.

We maintain a consistent level of service by investing in comprehensive training and development programs. Last month, Apple FCU received recognition from Training Magazine for the third consecutive year celebrating our exceptional staff training programs. This honor builds on our success in 2024, when American Banker, The Washington Post and USA Today recognized us as a top place to work.
Awards like these prove that we're building a culture of excellence for our members. Our training develops staff who are dedicated to your well-being, ensuring trust and member experience are always our top priority.
Investing in Families
Our local roots run deep at Apple Federal Credit Union. Just like our members, the majority of our staff live within the five counties served by our branches.
When you're talking with an Apple employee, you're speaking with someone who is a PTA member, Little League coach or community volunteer right here in Northern Virginia. By investing in our employees, we're also investing in the families who make up our communities.
This investment starts with Apple FCU's robust compensation and benefits package, which includes educational assistance for employees interested in post-secondary education and certifications to further their careers.
Additionally, Apple FCU has an internal emerging professionals' network to assist employees starting out in their careers and a career coaching program that helps employees develop a skills-based career plan.
Finally, we've created staff development programs that allow employees to shadow other areas of the credit union to gain new perspectives and skills. We also offer a yearlong leadership training program for staff members interested in obtaining management development skills.
Apple FCU fosters a culture of community involvement. We provide dedicated volunteer time off for our employees, recognizing its importance in strengthening local families. Additionally, Apple FCU supports local chambers of commerce and their programs.

Why do we do all this? It's simple—no one understands the needs of Apple members better than our staff. Many game-changing ideas that have improved our credit union started out as conversations between staff and Apple members.
