Apple FCU’s Giving Away $50,000 Through FinTastic Funding

Got a bold vision for your business? Here’s your chance to bring it to life!

Apple Federal Credit Union is excited to support small businesses with FinTastic Funding, a Shark Tank-style competition designed to fuel local entrepreneurs and small businesses. If you’ve got a story to tell and a plan to grow, we want to hear from you!

What’s FinTastic Funding?

FinTastic Funding is a pitch competition for small businesses across our service area that are ready to scale up.

You’ll submit a short application and a 90-second pitch video. If selected as a finalist, you’ll be featured in a public voting round on social media.

Prize funds will be deposited into an Apple FCU business account.

Not a member? No problem—we’ll walk you through it if you win!

Tell Us Your Why

We’re not just investing in business plans; we’re investing in people, purpose and community impact.

Your pitch should tell us why your business exists, how you’re making a difference for your customers and community, and what you could accomplish with a $25,000 boost.

Our panel of judges will evaluate based on:

• A clear and feasible business plan
• Financial sustainability
• Innovation and growth potential
• Team expertise and passion
• Positive community impact.

Finalists will be chosen by the judges, then the public will help decide the winners through online voting.

How to Apply

Applications are now open! You must submit your completed application by 11:59:59 p.m. on July 1, 2025, to be considered.

Here’s what we’ll be looking for:

A 90-Second Video Pitch

This is your opportunity to give a show-stopping elevator pitch. Be sure to make it creative and share your story!

A Business Plan

This is where you’ll break down the numbers. Provide business info, market analysis and financial projections. To apply, businesses must (additional conditions apply):

• Have been established prior to January 1, 2023
• Employ fewer than 100 employees
• Have less than $5 million in annual revenue.

We want to support businesses who care about our community. How will your business impact NoVa and its communities for the better?
