Credit / Debit Card Issuance Delay

Apple FCU is currently experiencing delays in the production and distribution of new, reissued, and replacement credit and debit cards.

We recognize that this situation is causing inconvenience for our members. We have been and will continue to stay in contact with affected members via email to keep them up to date and assist them with available options.

How did this happen?

The card production delay, which is affecting hundreds of financial institutions, was caused by ongoing supply chain and staffing shortages similar to those being experienced across multiple industries.

When will I receive my new Debit Card?

January Expiration Date
Debit Cards with a January expiration will be sent via UPS for delivery by month-end.

December Expiration Date
While we don’t have an exact delivery date, Debit Cards with a December expiration were mailed via U.S. Postal Service on Tuesday, January 3.

All Other Debit Cards
Debit Card orders that were submitted via Online Banking or the Mobile App are pending production. If you need a Debit Card immediately, visit a branch to have one instantly issued (excluding Business).

When will I receive my new Credit Card?

Unfortunately, we don’t have an expected mail date at this time. We’ll continue to work closely with the vendor and provide updates as available to this page.

Is there anything I can do to access my account(s) / money until I receive my new card?

Yes! Members can still access their accounts via:

  • Apple FCU Online
  • The Mobile App for Android and Apple Devices
  • Visiting a branch now to have a new Debit Card printed instantly (excluding Business Debit).

Additional ways to make purchases and payments without your Debit or Credit Card:

  • Utilize Apple FCU’s FREE Bill Pay - pay bills via your Checking account
  • If you have another type of Apple FCU card, utilize that temporarily
  • Use checks if you have them
  • If you don't have checks, request temporary checks. Please note that not all retailers may accept these so check their policies before going to the store
  • Person-to-person transfer in Apple FCU Online or Mobile – send someone you trust a transfer from your account and then they provide you with the cash amount.
