Digital Improvements
Improving the digital experience of our members was a primary focus in 2024. We deployed a new video banking system that allows you to apply for Loans and open accounts while meeting with a video representative—all from the comfort of your home.
Need to send or receive an instant payment? Consider it done. Apple FCU became an early adopter of the FedNow real-time payment system. Want to switch your Direct Deposit to Apple? Now, you can do it right from your phone.
Additionally, we began digitally issuing Credit and Debit Cards, letting you use them online and through mobile apps before your plastic arrives. These enhancements, and many more, were implemented to make your financial journey with Apple more convenient and seamless.
Additional Enhancements
Obtaining a consumer Loan with Apple FCU has never been easier. Qualified members now receive pre-approved Loan offers directly through our Mobile App and Apple FCU Online, complete with a helpful overview of their credit score. These tools make it simpler and faster for you to access the credit you need.
I am also thrilled to highlight CashBack+, a new service that enables you to receive as much as 20% cashback when buying gift cards from hundreds of national retailers. The cashback percentage you receive often exceeds what is offered by top-rated rewards credit cards. We're proud to be one of the few financial institutions in our area to offer this exceptional service!
We've also made significant enhancements to our digital and in-person services. From state-of-the-art ATMs to improved functionality for our interactive teller machines, and the launch of a new online virtual assistant, we are continuously finding ways to simplify your financial life.
At Apple, we measure our success by the impact we have on others. Giving back is part of our DNA, and I'm proud to share that in 2024, our employees set a record for volunteer hours thanks, in part, to our participation in more than 100 community events.
Our longstanding support for education continued through our annual scholarship program and partnership with Participate Learning, an organization dedicated to helping local school systems recruit new teachers. As always, we will continue to support our community with our time, talent and treasure.

We are excited to finalize our merger with NextMark Credit Union, as we will finish integrating NextMark's systems into Apple FCU in February. This partnership adds value for our members by expanding our branch network to 25 locations across Northern Virginia, including a flagship branch with multiple drive-through lanes on Lee Highway in Fairfax.
With shared values and a mutual commitment to our members, NextMark is the perfect partner as we grow Apple's presence in the region. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve members throughout Northern Virginia.
One of our primary goals at Apple FCU is providing value that sets us apart for families in our region. As a parent, I know that kids can get overwhelmed by financial management. That's why we are looking to add products specifically designed to increase your child's financial acumen and help them develop healthy financial habits.
To provide more flexibility to families when budgets get tight, Apple FCU is preparing to release our version of Buy Now, Pay Later, a program designed to divide larger purchases into manageable payments. For our small business members, we're exploring tools to accelerate the Loan application process, ensuring they receive the support they need when it matters most.
