In perhaps one of the most diverse student populations of any school in Fairfax County, Jeb Stuart High school faced unique challenges for its new Student Branch. Opening in the Fall of 2005 the Raiders branch was the center of attention for a new program promoting computer use to its community. Faced with a community where home computer use was very low, Fairfax County Public Schools offered low cost computers purchased through Dell to the Falls Church neighborhoods where Jeb Stuart pulls its student population. To aid in the purchase of these computers Apple FCU offered low to no interest financing on accredited purchases. The Student Branch worked to collect membership applications and facilitate document transfer for all of the computer loans, no small task for a branch in its first year of operation.
